Hi,
I can’t seem to get any shadows casting from the trueSky clouds. I’m following a tutorial, as a new user, and no shadows get cast in my set up.
Ive reset distanceFieldShadows and played with the settings. I get shadows from other assets but nothing from the trueSky clouds.
I did read a thread where someone said, Make sure your ShadowRT is attached to the trueSKYSequence Actor, and it is updating.
I dont really know what shadowRT is and how to connect it to the trueSkySequenceActor:(
Can someone advice me on what Im doing wrong?
Cheers
Hi Cookiecc – I’ve attempted to reproduce this issue locally, however I can’t seem to get it to occur no matter when metre per unit and/or cloud base the clouds have. My only suggestion currently is to tweak your shadow settings within the sequence actor (increase the intensity and/or the resolution of the texture used), or potentially increase the dynamic shadow distance and fade distance on the direction light itself.
If these did not fix the issue could you elaborate slightly (engine build – trueSKY version – specific values that cause this), so I can throw an internal bug in and get this investigated.
Thanks – Chris
Thanks Chris. I’ll give those a go.

I just changed meters per unit, which has solved the problem for now. But it means I only get cast shadows from the clouds if they are really low to the ground.
Not sure what to do if I need the clouds higher up.
Any advice is most welcome.
